Welcome to South Suffolk UKIP.

This year 2014 is an especially busy year, with the UK local council elections and the European Parliament elections on May 22nd occupying our attention until then. In the second half of the year, we will no doubt have much to consolidate following on from the elections, and of course, the preparations in the run up to the 2015 UK general election.

In any such campaign, the parties have to engage with the electorate on many fronts, through the local candidates, the central party, their written manifestos, the traditional media of press or TV and radio, and the multitude of leaflets which regularly drop onto our doormats. The other ‘channel’ of engagement is through Web media, and this website adds that capability to UKIP South Suffolk.

It is open to all, not just UKIP members or supporters. We will cover local news and the implications of local council and national government policies on South Suffolk and the Eastern area. The many examples of EU activities which impact on our constituency will be covered, where relevant.

We encourage contributions of articles and commentary, whether you are a UKIP supporter or not. There is also a section on ‘Views’ for opinions which are forward looking and which shed new light on topics where the other parties are reluctant to engage.

We hope that you over the coming months you will be a regular visitor to this new and growing website.
