UKIP communicates to the public through many media, and the press is a regular channel where the party and its candidates often feature in the press through formal interviews or reports of events. However, party members frequently contribute through written letters to the newspapers, and have a good degree of success as the examples below show.

Letters need not be long, but need to be relevant in picking up on current points of interest, or from articles that are ongoing in the journal. Nor do they need to refer to UKIP directly, as often the context is enough to suggest the source of the opinion.
